In Florida, drivers that are stopped for DUI may be offered a breathalyzer test. If the breath test reveals a blood alcohol level (BAL) or blood alcohol count (BAC) greater than or equal to .08, you will be arrested for DUI. However, even if you blew over the limit, or failed the field sobriety tests, you should not just plea guilty.
Mandatory penalties for DUI include:
- Court costs and fine
- Driver license suspension
- Ignition interlock device
- Probation
